My

London.
And
then for World Book Day on 1st March at Jubliee
Library in Brighton. This will be two events.
One about my kids stuff and another about
The Radleys.
Coming
up:
York
Literary Festival, Waterstones, 31st March.
Hay
on Wye, www.hayfestival.com, some time between
31st May - 10th June
Edinburgh

Be A Cat is just out in the UK, published

The
illustrations are by the wonderful Pete
Williamson.
In
other news, I've finished my next adult book.
I think it's my best.
OCTOBER
2011![](design/theradleysnew.gif)
The
Radleys is up for a Galaxy
National Book Award, which is great, especially
as there is a universal ban preventing any
book with vampires in from being up for anything.
Oh, and it also won the public vote in the
TV
Book Club.
I
also had a great time doing events and meeting
readers in Iceland and Sardinia, and - closer
to home - the Beverley Literature Festival.
On that note, I'm going to be doing a couple
of library events next month (while libraries
still exist). They will be in Leicester (7th
November), Gateshead (17th November) and Carlisle
(26th November). Will post more details as
I get
them.
Also,
I received some beautiful proof copies of
To Be A Cat, my kid's book, which
is out next year.

That's all. Thank you, lovely
unknown people.
AUGUST
2011
Hello!
If you have an urge to watch me on the telly
I can be seen walking
around my native York and talking about my
book on More 4 on Sunday August 7th at 7.30
pm. The show is repeated on Channel 4 on Saturday
August 13th at 12.30 pm. If
you have a spare moment and fancy voting
for The Radleys to win the title
of best in the series please do!
Also,
I am very much looking forward to attending
and appearing at the Reykjavik
International Literature Festival 7th
- 11th September, which should be wonderful,
not to mention two weeks later nipping off
to Olbia in Sardinia for a literature
event on 30th September.
In
October I'll be closer to home, at
Beverley Literature Festival on
October 7th, doing two events there - one
your standard standing up and reading jobbie
while the other will be a creative writing
workshop, which should be fun.
And have just heard the official
launch date for the American paperback of
The Radleys will be 20th September.
JUNE
2011
The
UK paperback edition of The Radleys is out

by the TV
Book Club as one of the Summer Reads.
It will be featured on the show on More4 on
7th August at 7.30pm and repeated on Channel
Four on 8th August at 12.30pm.
Also,
have had a sneak peek at the American paperback
and am equally impressed with the cover. Going
to have to wait a bit longer for this one
- it's out in September:
